May 22nd: Olon Bulag to Tengger
The worst day yet. We woke up covered in sand to an unbearable sewage smell. I lost my lucky bracelet and we decided to just throw the broken tent away. The route provided no relief either. With bumpy offroads and large stretches of soft sand, we got stuck a few times and smashed the skidplate so hard it fell off. Morale was low and tempers were short inside car 64 today. After the regularities the road relaxed and we got to the next camp in a better mood. We reattached the skidplate with shorter bolts to reduce the amount they might bend and enjoyed a beer and a cigar to celebrate making it through the day. The new tent was lovely and spacious and just as easy to setup.
