May 25th: Rest day in Dunhuang

Today was our rest day. We started the day with a decision to reorganize the car and clean some of the dust we’d accumlated over the Gobi. I went downtown to look around for duffel bags and found a nice street market with some great deals. We got two Dolce and Gabana bags for ¥170! Can’t find that in Canada!

Meanwhile my dad took the car to the cleaners and to get some spacers for our suspension so we can lift the car a bit. When we met up later in the day we reorganized the tools and camping gear and loaded them up into our sparkling clean backseat. All in all a very needed day.
